Where we work London London Christian homeless forum The forum brings together Christians in ministry with people experiencing homelessness, whether as paid workers with homelessness charities, local authorities or housing organisations, or as volunteers with their local churches or on the streets. The forum meets with these three Ps in mind: Practice, Policy and Prayer. It is chaired by Alastair Murray of Housing Justice. Currently we meet twice per term alternating between a Monday evening at Mount Street Jesuit Centre and a Thursday daytime meeting at the Housing Justice office. There is usually an invited speaker and theme. In the past year these have included Brother Johannes Maertens of the London Catholic Worker / Maria Skobotsva House in Calais, Jo Drew of Westminster Rough Sleepers Providers Network, Pam Orchard of Providence Row (soon to be CEO of the Connection at St Martin’s) and Mark Kitson of the Cinnamon Network. All who share a concern about homelessness and housing need from a Christian perspective are very welcome.
