Judith lives in Cumbria. She initially trained as a forester and worked for 21 years for the National Trust, initially in woodland management and then in wider property management. She later worked as Manager/Rural Housing Enabler for Cumbria Rural Housing Trust. Whilst there, she worked with rural communities to find suitable solutions to the lack of good affordable housing, linking in with local authorities, housing associations, developers and many other partners.

Judith is committed to highlighting the implications of the lack of good affordable housing on the communities and economy of Cumbria, which results in young people leaving, an ageing population and a reducing workforce. She is an Eden District councillor.

Judith stepped in as part-time interim project worker for FIAH in 2014, and carried out further FIAH project work in 2015/16.
