In 2005 and 2006 Housing Justice entered teams of runners to the London Marathon to raise money for our work with homeless and badly housed people.
In 2006 Dave Sharpley from Kent, Robbie Parks from Oxford, and Mark Allen from Bristol ran as part of the Housing Justice team after months of training. All three successfully completed the Marathon and raised £5,000 for Housing Justice
Marathon 2007: are you up to the challenge?
The 2007 London Marathon takes place on 22 April 2007 and we would like to see other keen -and energetic– Housing Justice runners out on the streets of London.
Could you or someone you know be one of them, running and raising funds for our vital work with homeless and badly housed people? It is a lot of hard work and you do need to be fit and healthy, however as our runners will tell you, there’s nothing better than the challenge and sense of achievement when you run over that finish line.
Think you’re up for the challenge?
We have now filled the Housing Justice Marathon Team places for the 2007 London Marathon. If you have a place and would like to run for Housing justice please get in touch - you will be raising money for a very good cause.
