Forest Row Baptist Church in East Sussex marked Homelessness Sunday 2004 with a sponsored sleepover. Nine children aged from 8 to 11 took part and between them raised over £110 for 'Crisis'.  They arrived at 5.00 pm on Saturday, complete with a sleeping bag, pillow and not much more to take part in an evening of learning about the plight of the homeless, craft activities, food and a video. 

As you will see from the pictures they set up camp on the church floor, some of them making improvised shelters from the cardboard boxes we provided.  During the evening we learnt a song and told them Jesus' story of the great banquet from Luke 14.  After a night's sleep they enjoyed breakfast and devised their own drama sketch based on the parable to present to the adults during the morning service.
