Join UNLEASH
Are you concerned about homelessness in London? Are you involved in providing support to homeless people in some way? Are you interested in hearing a Christian perspective on homelessness issues?
Then UNLEASH is for you!
UNLEASH exists to encourage and support churches, organizations and individuals concerned with or involved in action on homelessness in London.
Many church groups have taken up the challenge of "doing something about homelessness", but often become so caught up in providing a service that they have no time to see the wider dimensions to what they are doing.
UNLEASH can help!
UNLEASH seeks to encourage Christian responses to homeless need and provide on-going support.
UNLEASH offers space for agencies working with homeless people to communicate with each other.
UNLEASH provides a London wide policy dimension to keep member organisations up to date.
UNLEASH debates the issues that affect members in their work, and campaigns on their behalf.

- Members meetings
UNLEASH members have about 10 meetings a year. We invite innovators and experts in the field to present their perspectives. There is always space for members to share experiences and discuss concerns.
- Theology workshops
About 4 times a year we set aside time to reflect on how faith can direct social action, on the tensions that arise, and to seek a theology that can relate to and inform these everyday realities.
- Forums
UNLEASH currently runs a Winter Shelters' forum for the churches involved to discuss their experiences and seek practical advice. Church groups who are thinking of setting up a winter shelter are also invited to attend so they can gain some valuable insights into the realities of running a shelter. This forum takes place every 6-8 weeks between September and March.
Since November 2005 we have also been operating an independent quarterly Soup Run Forum. The aim of the forum is for groups to link in with others operating locally, to co-ordinate their efforts, discuss best practice, stay informed and discuss their concerns in confidence.
- Training
As part of our on-going outreach service to frontline agencies, we regularly research the support needs of our members. As the result of this we now provide free, professional training to all our members' volunteers.
For more information please visit our Training page.
- Newsletter
The newsletter comes out twice a year, and is sent out to members and supporters. We give coverage to projects that deserve wider recognition, events and conferences, training and funding, as well as news and reviews. To download our latest newsletter, please visit the Download page.
- Website
Many of the projects we seek to support have little or no paid staff and limited resources. Therefore we aim for this website to act as a shop front for those projects to advertise needs or share news, free of charge. Please email any news, vacancies or training details to the Webmaster
- Email bulletin
Our e-bulletin is designed to keep members informed of policy changes and other issues, but is also used to circulate news from other projects including job vacancies or training opportunities amongst all our contacts in the field. To download the latest E-bulletin, please visit the Download page.
