This will be the second meeting of the new UNLEASH soup run forum, which was set up to 1) Provide better co-ordination of soup runs, 2) Establish a better flow of communication and information between soup runs
3) Promote good practice and 4) Campaign against negative portrayals of soup runs.
If you are involved in a soup run* in London or have a strong opinion on how soup runs could operate more effectively you are very welcome to attend this forum. If you haven't been before we would be very grateful if you could drop a line to alastair to let him you will be attending: alastair@unleash.org.uk
* This term refers to any kind of run around the streets of London where food, clothes or information is distributed to the needy.

Housing Justice|UNLEASH Launch|

This event is to being held to celebrate our merger with the national Christian housing charity Housing Justice, to showcase the work that is already being done in London and to inspire others to get involved. The Launch will include two hour long "speed seminar" sessions which will allow attendees to visit talks/ interactive seminars from at least 8 of the 18 groups exhibiting. Meeting: Do A8 nationals need separate provision?|
Monday 10th July
We are holding a meeting on the 10th of July to discuss the possibility of setting up a welcome centre specifically for A8 nationals to encourage them to register, offer advice and information, address any language difficulties and ensure those migrating to England are better informed and prepared.
We will be discussing what the current situation is, whether a ‘welcome centre’ is the best response and what our next steps should be.
All are welcome. Please come prepared to share your experiences.
